Die Benedictine Abbey of Plankstetten near Beilngries. Founded by the counts of Hirschberg in 1129 - 1138: the church St. Johannes the Baptist is incorporated into a monastery - during the "Dreißigjährigen Krieg": monastery and parish church are plundered several times, monastery becomes uninhabitable - 1820: demolition of the church - 1904: rebuilded as a monastery - 1917: becomes abbey. Functions apart from monastery life: pastoral care, accomodation of guests - house of youth Schneemühle.

The pilgrimage church "Jesus Ascension Day" Maria Brünnlein near Wemding. 1684: the shoemaker Forell brings along a picture of the pilgrimage church Maria Brünnlein from Rome to Wemding - 1735 and 1746: miraculous eye turn - corner-stone ceremony at the 16th of August, 1748 - building according to the plans of Roth von Ellingen in 1752 - stucco and paintings by J.B Zimmermann - consecrated at the 24th of Mai, 1781.

The "Hofkirche Zu unserer Lieben Frau in Neumarkt". 1418-1428: builded up - choir, westfront builded up about 1500; 1535: the tower is builded up - 18th of June, 1629: consecration - 1701/02: remodelled by "Hofbaumeister" Jakob Engel - 1756, 1893, until 1895, 1928: restored - after the destruction the choir is rebuilded between 1945 and 1949.

The pilgrimage church "HL. Kreuz" in Bergen near Neuburg; establishment of the Benedictine monastery in 976 ; the abbess recieves the cross particle as a gift - Bishop Udalrich consecrates the church in 1095; 1542/52: dissolution of the monastery, the relic is hidden in the crypt during the Reformation - 1635: the monastery is ceded to the Jesuit Order of Neuburg - 1708: beginning of pilgrimage - from 1756 until 1760 reconstruction of the romanic hall church in a rococo church by J.B. Dominikus Barbieri of Eichstätt - the crypt has nearly remained in its origin - romanic military tower - on the eastern side (cemetery) there are still tree romanic apses to be seen.
